GOLD ROYAL ICING MIX

This has saved me oodles of time from having to paint over any piping script I normally do with royal icing on my cookies. I love the colour and even purchased the silver version. The directions are great but the sparkles fly everywhere when mixing so you have to be very gentle as you stir it together. I highly recommend it for bakers who use a lot of gold for details. I still use other golds for painting purposes.

Was very excited to use this, but was disappointed with the taste. I added some powdered sugar to it and it was better. I also tried painting with it, and found it clumpy.

Used for a drip cake. I was surprised at how beautiful the gold was. It was refreshing not to have to paint the drips. Downsides were there were literally no instructions for mixing to use as a drip. I had to wing it and estimate how much to pour on my cake without the drips continuously flowing down. Again no instructions or information mentioning how long it would take for the drips to dry/set. I was also surprised by how much mix it took to make my drip. Over half the package was used just for one order on an 8” cake and I was stingy putting it on because I didn’t want the drips to flow down too far. Not sure how economical using that much that is.

This is the best gold drip for cakes , I also use it to write on cookies and it saves time as I don’t have to paint gold on each letters :)
